Owner/operator, Glen Bryant doesn’t just build furniture; he creates functional works of art that stand the test of time, becoming a part of your home and story.
With 35 years of industry experience, Glen is a highly skilled cabinet maker. His career has included co-ownership of Felled and Found Furniture in New Plymouth in the early 90s and, during the late 1990s, ownership of Old Home Restorations in Hāwera, a Taranaki business specialising in fretwork and bespoke heritage pieces. Glen’s extensive expertise, craftsmanship, and dedication to preserving the integrity of traditional woodwork, underpin the values and vision of The Wood Project.
To Glen, bespoke means custom-built, personalised, and crafted just for you. It’s not just about choosing from a list of pre-made options or adjusting sizes. It’s about working closely with you, understanding your vision, and delivering a piece that fits your style, space, and needs perfectly. From the initial design to the final finish, every element is tailored to you.
When you commission a piece of furniture from The Wood Project, you’re not just purchasing a product – you’re embarking on a journey. From your first meeting, you’ll be working directly with Glen who will create your piece from design through to delivery.
Glen combines traditional techniques with the highest-quality materials to create pieces that are as durable as they are beautiful. Every joint, every curve and every detail is carefully considered to ensure your furniture not only meets but exceeds your expectations.
